Dilations Exploration
Drag point O to change the center of the dilation. Drag points A, B, or C to change the pre-image. To change the dilation factor, enter a number between 0 and 5 and hit enter.
If the center of the dilation is (0,0), there is a relationship between the coordinates of the pre-image and image. See if you can figure out this relationship. Use the relationship to predict values of coordinates when the dilation factor is changed.
