In the GeoGebra window:

  • Click on the Algebra icon and type where it says "Input"
  • On the next available input line, type 2x-3
  • Do the graphs intersect? If so, how many intersection points are there?

  • Type another function on an input line and then use the "undo" button. After that, use the "redo" button.
  • Click on the circles to the left of your inputs. What do you notice? (Type it in the box below.)

  • On the next available input line, type Intersect(f,g). Then move slider m. What do you notice?
  • Try the command Slope(f). What do you notice?

  • Move slider m to 1 (or, if easier, type it in)
  • Click the three dots to the right of function f. Click on "Table of Values" and enter start value -5, end value 5, and step 1.
  • Repeat the above for function g.
  • Use the graph and the table to find the intersection point(s) of f and g. Write these in the box below.
  • Experiment by moving slider m and seeing how the graph and your table changes.
